oddball1973
Which variant are you doing - 'Blondie' or 'Glen Gary'. Just finished the cockpit on mine and need to crack on with it now (going for the 'Blondie' myself) Yours is looking a nice job so far mate - carry on with the all the good work! Pagey
I can't remember the name, its the one with the blue nose (I prefer spraying blue to red - better coverage)
nigec
That looks like one hell of a kit think I might have to treat myself good luck with the rest of the build. Nige

You won't regret it (I came back into modelling thinking that I wouldn't be interested in doing a mustang - the aeroplane just doesn't grab me you know, but this has been the most fun build I have done so far)
nigec
Think I will get one I was going to go for the Tamiya Fiesler Storch but the Mustang for an extra £50 or so looks like it will keep me busy for months and months with all that detail you can put into it. Pagey
Thanks Mish Masked up ready for the blue. I did this by taping the engine covers on, taped out the shape, cut the tape between the panels and then masked up. Went overkill on masking, but better that than having blue where I don't want it (also such a small area on the fuselage which will be painted blue). Vulcanicity
Super build, this looks like an amazing kit, and you're doing a damn fine job. The moment Tamiya release an early Spitfire to this standard, I'm breaking scale and buying one...!

Pagey
Excellent build! What type of blue do you use? Thanks guys. The blue is a mix of Tamiya XF-8 (Flat blue) and X14 (Sky Blue) which resulted in the glossy blue seen in the pics (the ratio was 1 XF-8 to 3 X14) Did some of the decals last night, starting to come together now.
