gcdavidson
Basecoat on. I like this step as it ties together all the "what if" parts...
philp
Nice. Never have understood how people can paint a tank with the tracks on.

gcdavidson
Never have understood how people can paint a tank with the tracks on. I'll let you know - it'll be a first for me. I hope there is enough flex in the rubber that I can pull it away from each roadwheel as I go.
gcdavidson
Got some camouflage paint applied today. Using a badger 200 w/ fine tip & needle, and spraying Tamiya Acrylics thinned with Tamiya Thinner. Colours are pretty close to the old Canadian 3-tone scheme. I found some old SOP's from the Royal Canadian Dragoons that specific the cam pattern and colours to be used. I just adapted the centurion scheme for the Twin Forty. philp
It is very pretty. But you are probably going to mess it all up with some mud and stuff.
gcdavidson
Cheers gang! I've done some small detail painting. The tracks were actually pretty easy to do, I just pulled them away from each roadwheel as I worked my way along. It's been gloss coated and decalled. I've yet to decide how weathered its going to be.

gcdavidson
Started the weathering process. I think I'm going to keep it pretty light...mainly because I've forgotten how to weather!
Troffa
Outstanding stuff, great looking model, and very believable for a whif!

gcdavidson
Thanks guys! I've added another layer of filth to it using oil paints (which is why its a bit shiny in spots). Not too much left to do now. Some light mud for the wheels, a bit of rust and dirt for the tracks, the stowage, and maybe some light chipping.
