Mike Posted March 24, 2007 Share Posted March 24, 2007 You can change your avatar settings from your control panel, which is accessed by clicking your Username from the top-right menu bar to bring up your personal menu. Click Profile, which will bring up the following screen: Click the button marked above to bring up the dialog box that allows you to add, change or remove your avatar picture, which looks like this: To removed your avatar pic, click the relevant radio button and choose Continue. To add or change your avatar, you can upload your chosen photo by clicking the Choose Single File button and browsing your computer for the file, then click Continue. You can also add a new avatar by dragging your chosen photo from another open window into the space marked above, which can be a bit tricky for the uninitiated. Again, click Continue to finish. Hints & Tips Your photo should be square if you want to display it all, and if it's too large, it will be shrunk down by the forum software, and may look odd. You can only use certain file types for your avatar picture. You can see which types to the right of the button. The maximum image size in Megabytes is given to the right of the button too. For best results, save your picture in the right format, at the right size, and be prepared to have a few goes at it to get it right. Avoid anything lewd, or likely to offend people. Nudity, partial nudity, political or religious expression is not permitted, as it is on the forum too. We're not censoring you, just exercising our right to a bit of peace & quiet.
