marty_hopkirk
Drew at Crows Nest has just released what looks like an amazing 1/32 rendition (going by the advance build ups) of Mercury. Available in both window and porthole versions as well as a bespoke plug and play lighting kit. http://www.crowsnestmodels.com/index.html Available from the usual outlets, I see. Marty... marty_hopkirk
A friendly neighbour came around this evening bearing (a package from SSM Store) and inside was the porthole Mercury and the light kit. I have to say the quality of both is stunning. It never fails to amaze me the quality of resin engineering that is being produced these days - this is probably the best and finest I have seen. The corrugation on the capsule defy description such is the fidelity and the moulding of the smaller parts is something to behold - 70 plus part make up this kit. I'm hoping the window version will splashdown in the next few days. Even in 32 it is not a large kit and is testament to how diminutive the original was. Recommended. Marty...
