Supermarine Type 224 (1:48 Heritage Aviation Models)

Recommended Posts

It was, but no-longer :)

I'm really pleased to have it in my cabinet now, and it's prompted me to do a Prototype Spitfire/Shrew too - beats building another Mk.1 spit OOB ;)

Thanks for the kind words guys... enjoyed it a lot, and as my tank project is also coming to an end, I need to think of what next :hmmm:

Easy question - Wellsley

Nice build Mike. It would be nice to see it photographed beside a Mk I.

You're not wrong Dave - on both counts :) There will be stuff going on along side the Wellesley though... which I'll be getting back to shortly ;)

You do make some cracking models Mike and that must be one of the best. Most have commented on the prop - finishes it off very nicely - how did you get the laminated wood look ?, pretty please, nicely ?. I've right clicked and saved those pix for reference - Thanks Mike.

Your Valiant stalled as well ? so has mine. Wellesley not back on the bench ?. Funny, I thought of the 32nd Wellesley when I found a very large box containing a vac form 32nd Wellington in the loft under some train sets - just after my iMac gliched and forced me to order a Type 224 as well, Sunshine Coast.

Funny thing - Computers !

Amazing job Mike

I have the rareplane one I was going to make didn't know a resin one existed.

Have I missed it or are you keeping how you did the prop a secret ?

cheers Pat

Thanks Pat (and Mish). No secret over the prop, it's all here. :)

Was reading through this and followed the link to the build thread thinking "oh what an interesting subject wonder how I missed this build".

Then I saw the dates!
