Col.
Anyone know when the new Airfix 72nd scale A6M2 kit gets released? Seem to be on some sort of Japanese aviation fixation at the moment and now 'need' to add a Zero to the pile.
Hypnobear
No idea of how accurate it is, but Wonderland models has Tuesday 1st November (19 days time) put down as when the kit will be avaliable, so soon hopefully! http://www.wonderlandmodels.com/products/a...shi-zero-a6m2b/ Im looking forward to this kit being released as well - think I could make good use of some of my Airfix Flying Hours on a few of these! Also on the theme of Japanese aircraft, they have also got the old mould Val due for re-release a short time after the new Zero too... http://www.wonderlandmodels.com/products/a...aichi-d3a1-val/ New artwork can be seen here on Airfix's website: http://www.airfix.com/airfix-products/clas...3a1-val-a02014/

Col.
Cheers lads. Dare say it'll take a lot longer to reach any of my LMS Perhaps I need to find who will be stocking them from the various retailers on BM.
Giorgio N
Dont know why, but I'm looking forward to this too ! I've always believed that a good cheap, easily available Zero would have been a winner commercially, I was very pleased to see I was not the only one to think so. John
Cheers lads. Dare say it'll take a lot longer to reach any of my LMS Perhaps I need to find who will be stocking them from the various retailers on BM. I've found that ordering direct from Hornby is the best way to get the new releases. I ordered 2 P-40s when they showed up on their on-line shop site and they arrived the following morning. You can't really improve on that. John

Must be the famous nature of the subject to a certain extent. No idea how well the current kit sold over the years but a well engineered new mould with a good level of detail that goes together easily for not much money must be a winner for them. seent the sprues at yeovilton air day, comes with a slide moulded 1-piece engine cowling and optional folded wingtips! Seen a shot of the built-up test model and it does look nice. We'll be getting a review copy a soon as it's available so watch this space! Not that I'm jealous or anything but... Jammy git! John Sounds as if Airfix and Hornby really are making the effort on every level now. Quite an impressive service according to every tale I've seen or heard and a company worth supporting.
