Geoff_B
Just checked the website and only Hms Sheffield & Hms Invincible are listed. They are reboxings of thier existing kits with new box art so are likely to appear first as the quickest to do, the Type 21 now has box art of HMS Antelope and was shown at the Nurnberg Toyfair so we will likely see that later in the year. The Sea King Commando poster with the CGI has been released so hopefully that may appear in the next few months. Speak of the Devil the Antelope has been listed today ! Niall
I like the way the Exocet launchers are described as "Detailed torpedo lockers" !!!!!!!Julien And the way the dreadfully inaccurate Sea Cat launcher is described as the "navigation radar realistically produced" !!! The box art for the Sheffield is also a odd. It shows the navigation radar on the bridge roof, Type 1022 and Type 996 radars fitted to the surviving ships in the class after the Falklands war! moaning dolphin
Just spotted this on the Junglie. To be released in July so its not far off. The CGI images look ok but the picture headings nedd better research. Five bladed tail rotor? I hope not otherwise it would be very unbalanced! I suspect the other one is hiding Luckily the cockpit glazing is made from clear parts! The rotor head looks nice with correct blades for the time (modern versions would need adjusting for composite blades. http://www.dragonmodelsusa.com/dmlusa/prodd.asp?pid=CHC5073 Cheers now Bob
moaning dolphin
Also just noticed the top of the engine bay doors are incorrect for the type. WHL Seakings don't have the grills on top, also the pilot seats are incorrect. also no light on the nose below the pilots window, not sure if the rear orange crop boxes above the tail wheel were fitted then either. I know the MK2 did have them. still I suppose i should be thankful we have a Junglie at last Edited May 18, 2012 by moaning dolphin
Niall
Another fault, the 7.62mm machine gun is actually a .50" cal which I don't think was used in the 1982.
helicopter pat
Yes Wafu, XS516 was a good workhorse. We took her back down south on 845 in 83 on the back of the Regent and I think the biggest problem we had was a starter relay giving up the ghost. I still have a picture of her as my desktop backround and it gets lots of comments from old wafu's who visit our company.
