Mark M
hi a friend of mine is looking to build or have built all of these aircraft, these aircraft all served at RAF Waddington over the years (this is the offical base list), these will go on permenant display at waddington, but the issue is space required and well i dont think all the kits exist so we need ideas of makes of kits, but the scale needs to be at least 1/144 for the bigger subjects, youll see what i mean so smaller the better, but i guess for some that aint going to happen Maurice Farman Shorthorn, Grahame-White RE8, BE2, DH9, DH6, Martynside Elephant, DH4, RE7, FE2d, AW FK3, Sopwith Dolphin, Fairey Fawn, HP Hyderabad, HP Hinaidi, Westland Wallace, Hawker Hart, Hawker Hind, HP Hampden, Bristol Blenheim I, Avro Lancaster I/III, Hawker Fury, Airspeed Oxford, Tiger Moth, Lincoln, Anson, Canberra, Chipmunk, Lysander, Battle, Manchester, B-29, RB-29, B-50, Vulcan (both bomber Mks and tanker), Nimrod AEW 3, Sentry AEW 1, Nimrod R1 Sentinel shaddow r1 islander thanks in advance
Kev1n
what a great idea - should make a fab display if space is an issue then 1/72 would probably be best as even the bigger aircraft should be do-able - even allowing for the size of the AEW types - and 1/72 is the most common scale
Julien
For the bigger stuff antigrand do; Vulcan: http://www.hannants.co.uk/product/ANIG4028 Nimrod: http://www.hannants.co.uk/product/ANIG4036 Nimrod AEW3; http://www.hannants.co.uk/product/ANIG4050 Sentinel: http://www.hannants.co.uk/product/ANIG4057 All are about £65 each so better have deep pockets, there are always people on the look out for the bonus kits which come with these so that might off set the cost a bit. Paul J
A Model do a Lancaster in 1/144. Welsh Models do some of the modern ones too in vacform/resin mix but cheaper than the Anigrand options. maybe you check hannants( not a plug for them I hasten toadd, just a helping hand) for some of the others . They stock Kits by various makes in 1/144.

Giorgio N
Ozmods in Australia has some 1/144 Canberras. Fujimi has a nice B-29 and minicraft has one too although not as good. A B-50 can be built cross kitting a B-29 and the minicraft KC-97 kit. Speaking of lancasters and relatives, A-model has announced the manchester and Lincoln too, but these are still listed as future releases.. hope they are issued as their lancaster is really a little jewel ! For the smaller types honestly I'd go for 1/72: a 1/144 chipmunk would be really small....
