Mark M Posted October 11, 2011 Author Share Posted October 11, 2011 before i start i must say i am in no way linked to the wave but i like going there ok, John owns the wave he took over nearly 2 years ago, and the place was in a state, he and his sister who runs the cafe bit, have made massive strides to change the place, i believe they recently got 4 stars in the lincoln food guide, prices are cheap and they are always friendly. there is also a small shop which is brimming with model kits, diecast, books, aircraft parts, you name it john will have it or know where to get it and at good prices too, there are plans to espand the site too there is ample car parking for 100+ cars and regular visitis fro mthe police keep problems at bay waddington itself has been relatively busy recently, on a daily basis you will see, awac, shaddow, sentinal islander, regualr touch and goes from kingair and tutors, mondays normall sees a xingu and nato 707, over the last few visits ive seen, hawks both black and red, chinook, merlin, tornado, typhoon, alphjets, rc-135, us tankers, a GALAXY!!!!! c-17, saudi hercs so it can be busy but somtimes hit and miss (i tend to miss! when i pop to conningsby i tend to miss the big stuff) next year the unmanded dromes are ment to be moving to wadd so that could be interesting too! hope that helps anything else you need to know just ask Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
