Simon
Hi all Someone over on the Key Publishing forum posted a black and white photo of (grounded) Hunter F.6A XF386 wearing a 'Soviet-style' colourscheme, complete with red stars and Bort number: It apparently was a BDRT (battle damage repair training) airframe at Coltishall, and the photo was taken in 1982. Anyone any idea of the colours used? It would make an unusual variation on RAF Hunters! Regards Simon
reddeathdrinker
The thread on it here: http://forum.keypublishing.com/showthread....231#post1802231 The photos posted by Keith are obviously after the airframe has been sanded down, but there are traces of the aggressor colours there. Possibly similar to XG194? (photo shamelessly borrowed from thunderandlightnings, as there's no linking to them apparently!) Dave Fleming
From memory, the colours are sand, green and brown - I'm sure I've seen a colour photo somewhere

Simon
Thanks for the replies gents. If you can remember where you saw the colour photo Dave, I'd be interested! There's a colour photo here showing XF386 just before it was scrapped at Otterburn, (and doing a good impression of a colander!) http://forum.keypublishing.com/attachment....mp;d=1296834716 Difficult to see any colours, but it looks like faded dark sea grey and dark green, and a completely different camouflage pattern altogether.
