LPS Hobby’s first three 1:72 Military decal sets are all designed for the new(ish) Airfix Messerschmitt Bf110. This particular set is intended for the Bf110C and, as with the other two sets, includes options for three aircraft:

• Bf110C-2, Stab II/ZG2 as flown in the Battle of Britain;

• Bf110C-1, 3./ZG26, also flown in the Battle of Britain; and

• Bf110C-1, 7./ZG26, 1941-2.

The first two aircraft both sport RLM 02/71 upper surfaces over RLM 65 undersides, whilst the third aircraft is finished in the RLM 79 over RLM 78 camouflage worn in the North African campaign. As with other LPS Hobby decal sets the instructions are printed in colour and a separate decal placement guide is provided for the stencils.

The decals themselves are nicely printed and feature bold, crisp colours. They are perfectly in register and the quality of fine detail such as the stencils is very impressive. Swastikas are included for those who wish to use them, which will save having to resort to a separate sheet.

Conclusion

This is another fine release from LPS Hobby. Although only three schemes are included, there is enough variation between them to make this set worthy of consideration when picking a scheme for your Zerstorer.
