Nigel Bunker
As one of the community of colourblind modellers (which makes matching colours impossible for me), does anybody know if there is a reasonable match for Light Gull Grey in the Halfords range of car paint aerosols? I'm not bothered if it is matt, satin or gloss - hence the title. Cheers Nigel
pte1643
Can't say if there's an "off the shelf" match, but one of the suitably equipped Halfrauds will do a colour match for you if you require.
Nigel Bunker
Thanks, but I was looking for an off the shelf match if possible. Edited September 12, 2011 by Nigel Bunker
pte1643
No prob's. It's not very economical to get a batch made up for a one off project anyways, but if you were doing, let's say, a fleet of airliners, then it would be worth it.
tomprobert
I think an exact match off the shelf will be impossible, but Ford Dove Grey isn't too far off... my suggestion is to buy a can and have a play. Also if you use it over a white, rather than grey primer, it will naturally look lighter.
Nigel Bunker
Thanks - I will give that a go.
