lampie
Ok,,ya got me. I'm in. Kits the Tamiya P-47M, which is far and away the best 1:48th "Bubbletop" kit on the market. Stock image. It's going to be built as an M, so naturally it'll be 56th FG. Squadron and individual aircraft are undecided at the moment. Its going to be quite a challenge to have it done in the group build timeframe as I'm such a slow builder but I like a bit of a challenge Nige http://p47.kitmaker.net/ http://56thfightergroup.co.uk/

lampie
Well I couldn't just sit by and watch now could I? After spending a year on and off working on Miss Fire the 3 month deadline might actually do me some good Made a start this afternoon blocking out the cockpit etc. Nothing of note to photograph yet though. lampie
Is it really 6 weeks since I started this? To say I have a lot of things occupying my time at the moment is a bit of an understatement, but I finally managed to get the cockpit done today. I say,"done", I might do a little bit more detail painting on the sidewalls before close it up and stuff it the fusalage. Seat belts are Eduard but I stripped the green paint off some I had left over and repainted them. The oxygen tube is made from wire. Another couple of weeks and I might even get the wings on! Dave Hill
Wow you really did a fine job on that pit!!!...I had to use the Eduard Zoom set as I can't paint details like that anymore! Dave
