vampire

Swift

hunter - academy

Javelin - dynavector

sea hawk - trumpeter

Both Classic Airframes and Aeroclub made 1/48 Vampire (and Venom) kits of various marks in 1/48.

Vampire

Venom

Hobbycraft made 1/48 Vampires, but they really aren't worth considering due to severe inaccuracies.

I like the Venom picture you linked to, love those red wing tanks, but I think the one with the suez strips is the most memorable one, hence why I went looking for that one for my collection.

Shame you have plans for it, I'm looking for a late meteor, I would have offered up a Tamiya F1 or F3 meteor and a CA Vampire (as I have two of these!)

sure i'll stumble across a late one at some point and no rush yet there 120+ in front of it to build, lol

No worries, I realized that.

it just a shame there is such a hole in the 1/48 Meteor market,

glad we could help, im going to add a seaking and chinook to the list

Angry palm trees, no way, have you seen the size of a Chinook at 1/48

This thread is ace fairplay - been thinking of a similar 1:48 RAF/RN jets project after getting back into modelling from a 10 year break. Got many ideas. Cheers fellas.

yep, as he said :ditto:

Sadly a lot of stuff at 1/48 is not out there at present or costs an arm and a leg, I'd love a late Meteor (I have one part started) but it's a bag of bits, but better than paying £80+ quid for one.

Your welcome to have a look at my collection if it helps. (boading all above) I have I think every fighter (and others) from 1944 that have entered the British services (RAF/RN/FAA) up to canberra size (1/48 bombers are not my scene!) unlike mark I'm trying to cover both single and twin seats version, and more than one too. so your'll see I have stuff like the lighting and 2 seat conversion sets, hunters and a T7, etc

I believe I'm up to about 115 to 120, ie some have slipped the net and refused to be photgraphed, ie there are four sea vixen alone, not 2 as pictured!!

feel free to have a look, and don't be scared to ask, happy to help.

Now back to that B-57 for club night!!! GRggghhh (more holes than swiss cheese!)

LOL, go for it buddy

As I said before, what we put on our lists is really down to our remits.

good luck with the plan, as I said before, I really need to get building more.
