richellis
Braathens SAFE Fokker F-27 decal sheet. 1:144 decals from Lima November. Braathens SAFE was founded in 1946 and had its headquarters in Oslo. During its time Braathens had 8 of the Dutch designed and built Fokker F-27-100 Turboprop airliners, with the first arriving in 1958, and the final F-27 leaving the fleet in 1977. During their time in the Braathens fleet the F-27s wore 3 different liveries and all of these are covered on this sheet This set is designed to fit on the Doyusha 1;144 Fokker F-27 kit, but is also available for the 1:72 Airfix kit that has been recently re-issued. The decals are printed on a single sheet with options to build any of the 8 F-27s in the Braathens fleet, the instructions have information on matching the registrations and aircraft names. The instructions are very clear and as is normal for Lima November comes on A4 sheets with diagrams in colour and some history on the airline and the aircraft on the sheet. There are some variants on the aircraft with some being short nose versions. The instructions are clear on what aircraft they are, and give clear instruction on where to cut the cheat lines with new front sections on the decal sheet for the shorter nose. Looking at the decal sheet I would think that you should be able to make 3 models in the 3 different liveries needing only some minor decals from the spares box. Conclusion A nice set as you would expect from Lima November decals, they are a well printed quality set of decals. I’m sure you can do more than one model from this sheet only needing to dip into the spares box for some minor bits.
