Cor! thanks you lot  Glad you likey.

Will this be visible at shows anytime soon?
Unlikely I'm afraid, sorry. Besides, seing this in the flesh would probably be a bit like meeting that favourite film star only to find out she'd got zits and bad breath.. ^_^
Stunning mate.

Do not stand at my grave and weep,

I am not there; I do not sleep,

I may not now be in the group,

.........But I am the diamond in the loop,

I am the white the red and blue,

.........Entwined within the corkscrew,

When you look to the heavens above,

I am the arrow through the heart of love,

I am the smoke across the sky,

I am the reason why we fly,

I am the Hawk's engine roar,

I was proud to fly Red four.

Ruddy marvellous Pickles. I don't mind telling you I read this with a lump in my throat and a tear in my eye. Very moving, thanks for sharing that.

WOW!!Amazing work

how did you get the glossy finish?

Hi guys, I used the Citadel Miniatures 'Ard Coat gloss spray varnish. The final finish was what filled me with most fear actually but the Games Workshop spray worked wonders. It goes on very thickly at first which is a worry but as the solvent exaporates the finish smoothes and thins right out. It dries quickly too but use it outside as it absolutely stinks! Once the gloss coat had dried I went over it with some AutoGlym paint refinisher (like a mild T-Cut) that I had in the garage then finished with a coat of Mer car polish.

Thanks again for the kind words everyone, very much appreciated. :grouphug:

Well I thought I had seen the most realistic model on here recently, but this one tops that. The quality of the build is fantastic and great pictures too.For me the sign of a great model is that it looks real when photographed in a location that the real object would be found.I find this to be the best model/location I've seen, quite simply it could be mistaken for photos of a real Hawk-incredible!Too often a model is well made only to be let down by poor pictures-i.e. on a workbench with all the clutter in the background etc.Anyway, model of the year for me-superb!!

Talk about doing a double-take!!!! That is one very realistic model, which due to the use of accessories and good photography makes it much more special.

Working to standards like this really shows a master of his art at work.

Well done that man, and thanks for sharing. Regards ,Rad.

Ps with what happened with Red4, makes this thread more touching at the moment-a wonderful tribute to Flt Lt Eggin- someone who inspired & who we all should aspire to.
