yardbird78
This is an 18 minute video, mostly of the first flight of a B-52D with a wing span of 14 feet. That works out to 1/13th scale. It has 4 ducted fan units powered by electric motors that are located in the two inboard nacelles. The #1 & #2 and #7 & #8 engines are just empty nacelles. It has working flaps and retracts on the main gear and tip gear. This video is of the first flight, August 2011 in North Las Vegas, Nevada, USA. Sten Ekedahl
This is even better: Unfortunately it crashed at a later show:
Shar2
This is even better: Unfortunately it crashed at a later show: I believe he's built another one now. It uses 8 Wren jet engines and uses standard Jet A-1 fuel.
omegaman
There is already a similar sized jet powered vulcan doing the rounds, as there is also a victor. I will upload pictures from the woodvale rally! There were some superb displays including 2 1/6th scale f-9 panthers in formation (jet powered!) F-32
Wow, that was a beast of a model, shame it went down. Omegaman, I've seen the Vulcan, would love to see your shots of the Victor!
markjames68
The panther duo are actually 1/4 scale For me the three best rc models are , in no particular order The 18 ft span c 17 The 1/3 skyraider And a 1/6 b26 marauder Sadly my terrible ability on a computer precludes a simple clicky link but anyone interested just do a search on youtube Worth it, they are superb Mark
