yeehah1
04 08 11 Dear Britmodellers: I have a set of custom decals I need printed for two projects: one a 1/24th car and the other kill markings for a What-If A-10C. I need two sheets printed and they'd need a size no greater than what you might typically get from aftermarket suppliers. File format is Illustrator .ai ( version 8, sorry could never afford to updrade!). Could also supply in jpeg or tiff. Can anyone help please? Thanks in advance Liam

hootch732
Nice idea, I've always fancied drawing my own decals but wouldn't know where to start.
yeehah1
Nice idea, I've always fancied drawing my own decals but wouldn't know where to start. 04 08 11 You'd need a good graphics editing/drawing program such as Illustrator or CAD as the artwork (I believe) should be vector-based art...give nice crisp lines when printed and can be scaled without loosing sharpness. They can be quite expensive but you can usually download 30-day trial versions or if you are a student and can verify it, you can buy the full programme for massive discounts. Then it comes down to what you want to do and how. Of course, you need to scale the markings to your project ... and i did mine more by trial and error than any proper professional method, but I double checked these by printing out on regular paper and cutting the markings out and lining them up on the kits. They worked fine. Just need ot get them printed as proper decals. Liam
