Esci decals - a word of warning

Like many of you, I suspect, I have some of the old Esci decals in my decal box from the days when they were cheap and readily available. I was building a Halifax and the only decals I could find in muy collection were some on an Esci sheet. I would use Modeldecal for the roundels, fin flashes and codes, Xtradecal stripes for the fin markings and just use the nose art and the serial from the Esci sheet. Now I have used old decals in the past, and sometimes they crack over time, so I thought I'd be careful and put a coat of Microscale Liquid Decal Film over them. Disaster - the Decal Film bleached the colours on the Esci sheet, making them unusable. The colour could not be restored. So start again and have the hassle of making my own decals for the Halifax, and now it is finished.

So learn from my mistake - Esci Decals & Microscale Liquid Decal Film do not work together.
