I have not made any decals, but i have done rescaling of images downloaded and print. Till now i find Coral draw the best software for resizing because the picture sharpness is very good.

The only printers to print white and metallic colors are ALPS and OKI. I recently found a website of Chinese copy of ALPS called 'Focus' micro dry printer.

I'm another happy user of Corel Draw, it really is a great package !

I also use the simpler microsoft Photo Draw, but Corel is way better. It's also expensive though!

Another software that I've used with success is Inkscape, that is a freeware. Not as good as Corel, but for 99% of what you'll need is probably enough anyway

Hi Rich

I'll third Corel - I would disagree with Giorgio on cost though, you don't need the latest version, find an old copy of an early version, 3 or later. I use Corel 7 which is more than adequate. Others use Adobe Illustrator, I've not used it myself but by all accounts it's quite good as well, and I'd guess an earlier version of this would be fine also. The initial learning curve is quite steep, but worth the effort. I scan stuff and import the jpg on one layer, trace it maunually on another, then resize it to the size I want. I print to laser and an OKI printer with good results. Vector graphics take a bit of learning, but it's worth the investment in time and effort - you can get away with bitmap (jpg etc) graphics for some stuff but for most stuff it just doesn't cut it.
