spike7451
Just received the 1/48 Hasagawa F-16N Agressor from Grundylunch (cheers mate) anyway, one thing I find in Hasagawa kits is the cockpit's not too good in kits of this age.I have been looking on the Hannants website & found THIS PIT HERE which I gather is a 'C' model. Now I read that the 'N' is based on the 'C' so would this be OK to use & are the any major fit issues with it. Kit's gonna be OOB apart from the pit. TIA, Merv
Mike V
The F-6N is not based on the C model, it is a C model; less the gun and has an F-16A radar setup. The F-16N is basically an early Block 30 F-16 with the GE engine and NSI intake. Therefore, a standard F-16C cockpit will work for an F-16N. The Aires cockpit is well detailed, though does have some accuracy errors; ie the erroneous lip extension at the front of the glare shield; which BTW did not exist on their 1st made for Hasegawa F-16C pit. This is a major oversight on Aires part, but not much one can do about it. As a result, the cockpit is too short in length as well. It does have some fit issues, primarily with the sidewalls and if you don’t make the cuts just right, you’re going to end up with gaps around the sill; not to mention alignment issues.
