Antoine
Got a revell 1/72 GR1, that I plan to build some days in it's 2nd Gulf War colour, with the help of an Hi decal line decal sheet. But I also have a model alliance sheet, for a GR4 this time, for operation Telic, which looks very good too. But there is something missing in the puzzle: I got only some early paper doc for the Tournedos, so, in other words, nothing that deals with the GR4. And I don't know of any webpage dedicted to that aircraft. So in the end, my question: What are the external differences betweens the two marks, and what about some usefull web references, as I didn't find anything to my liking on groogle? Thanks a lot in advance.
Richard E
The only visible differences are the FLIR (forward looking infra red) pod under the nose next to the GR1's LRMTS pod and the starboard cannon has been removed and its muzzle has been faired over. You should be able to get the FLIR pod from The Aviation Workshop. This is a Tornado GR1 And from the same angle: This is a Tornado GR4 You should be able to get some good references from: http://www.tornado-data.com/ or http://www.airliners.net/ HTH Richard Edited December 5, 2007 by Richard E
