First build for over 30 years.

Trying to fit building around work, grandchildren and life. Made the soundproofing out of speedtape, whilst sticky it is hard to get the pattern onto.

If I build another, I'll sort the cabin seat backs out properly. The RAF ones did not have a mesh back.

I think I may have got the ammo box for the flares a bit big, as are the fire extinguishers, but it's been years since I've done this sort of thing. Was going to try to include the Very pistol, but it would be impossible to see (as I found out when i did a trial fit of the fuselage halves!)

The Airwaves Mk5 parts are good, but I'm not looking forward to fitting the intake and IGB grills. Also still got to fit the crewmans seat to the right of the cabin door.

Really have forgotten how fiddly 1/72 is!! :analintruder:

Caught me in the middle of building an HC2 too

Yours is looking very interesting and yes, 1/72 scale isn't what it was back in the day :(

I've just picked up after a long "modelling holiday" too…

I'm building the HC2 that now lives in Cosford, rest assured I will be following yours and yes, I'll do a W.I.P too.

Mine is the execrable Matchbox kit, frankly the worst rendering of Wessexes I ever saw. Who is yours from?

I saw the Airwaves stuff and was very tempted, you are right about the seats too I had hours of fun.

I'm with you :thumbsup2:
