Vickers McFunbus
Any opinions on what went wrong? looks to me like the raider was banking harder and faster that BBD or BBD was banking to slow and shallow?? It all depends on the brief I suppose. Either way, they both flew very different types of break, which sadly has led to the collision.

Phil Podmore
Just spoken to a friend of mine who knows the guys that have been clearing up the wreckage of the BBD Apparently the engine is the only recognisable bit left.....
F-32
Watching the film clip it looks like the Skyraider really did give BBD a proper thump, it practically stalled her out of the air! Really glad the pilot managed to jump out, fingers crossed she'll be restored back her former glory. As far as the Skyraider is concerned it probably didn't make a bit of difference, aren't those things milled out of solid chunks of the earth? GrahamS
Bugger - missed this. So glad the pilots are okay. Didn't realise that the pilots wore parachutes but I'll bet they're glad they do! Graham
