Revell 1/72 Kamov KA-52

Recommended Posts

Hello everybody,

I just wanted to show you another of my models.

This one was build last winter.

The cockpit is a NeOmega and didn't fit at all. It was definitely not designed for the Revell kit.

However, I sanded and sanded untill it fitted.

The camo is a little different

I hardly didn't use decas and the camo was taped off with 1mm tape. A lot of work but I was really happy with the result.

Let me know what you think of it. All comments are welcome.

Absolutely brilliant result from what must have been very time consuming. A lot of patience needed and you've really pulled it off.

Thanks for all your comments !!

It was time consuming, however it cost me a lot more time (and frustration) to get the resin NeOmega cockpit to fit the airframe than the paintjob.

A lot of sanding and dry fitting.

It is a beautiful cockpit set from NeOmaga and a big difference with the Revell cockpit.

Of course taping and painting the KA-52 cost me a lot of time too. I think I needed about 10 evenings to tape and paint the whole scheme. And two evenings to get the tape off.

But it was fun, so much fun I will do another one. Maybe the next winter…. Not sure yet though.

Again, thanks for all your comments.

Really superb job - and I thought masking the splinter camo on a 1/48 Viggen was difficult. Wow!

There are a couple of USN F-18 Super Bugs with an experimental digital camo like this. Seeing your build makes me want to give that a try!

Cheers,

Bill
