Jazzy Jase
This is the place to chat about the Pacific War Group Build. I'll be knocking up a banner for the GB shortly. But if you can't wait then there are some fine examples in the banners thread.
Jazzy Jase
I'm looking forward to seeing a wide variety of builds on this one. Plenty of scope for planes, ships, armour, figures and dioramas. With this in mind what are peoples thoughts on the gallery and poll. Would you prefer to have separate galleries and polls for the various categories? Edited July 5, 2011 by Jazzy Jase
CPNGROATS
i'll vote for separate galleries and polls. Cheers, ggc
AnonymousDFB1
I would like to see them separated out by Aircraft, Armour, Marine, Figures, Dioramas
Fifer54
It would be good to have separate galleries and polls for different modelling genres. If the polls are kept separate, so that every voter gets a vote in each poll, then the model with the most votes overall could be declared an overall winner (I say this as someone with no chance whatso-bleedin'-ever of winning!),then there would be category winners, etc... Bertie McBoatface
I would like to see them separated out by Aircraft, Armour, Marine, Figures, Dioramas I agree with separate categories. I wonder if dioramas might be usefully divided too. A waterline ship at sea might be considered a dio but is very unlike an infantry battle on Iwo. Just a thought? Derbyeomanry
Got the choice of two M4A2's to build - early or late. Got some aftermarket stuff - wading kit and add on armour. Just looking for a specific tank to build so still trawling references. I'd like to do a camouflaged version rather than plain green.

Y E S you have to build the later one with the timber 'zimmerit' and the three colour camo... remember I've seen you stuff before and I KNOW it will be outstanding ! Chris FFZ
What happened to the Spit? When i did the photos of it, no matter what the angle it looked like there were gaps in the green since I had shined it up so much. As a consequence it looked like it was a blotched job, to me anyway. See how on the fuselage and the wing it looks like the gray is bleeding through the green? That only shows on the camera, and I could not make a picture that didn't have that effect, even though when you are holding it you can clearly see there are no such gaps in the green. I wonder if it was just flash photos or did natural light do it too. Oh, I plan to build a 1/48 Hasegawa Hellcat and/or a 1/48 Tamiya Ki 84 Frank. That's curious. I'd just decided to post my observation that there were no Hellcats yet, and there you were!

I'd just decided to post my observation that there were no Hellcats yet, and there you were! Even stranger is its a french navy hellcat that will have after market US navy decals! I got them on ebay, quite reasonable too! The decals are a techmod set i had bought to fix up an older hellcat that i decided can wait a bit, they include Captain David McCampbell's Minsi III. http://www.techmod.pl/aviation-48/48019-gr...n-f6f-5-hellcat Oh, and i wanted to add I will get started as soon as my current build is done, I'm making a BF-109G-2 for a group build on another site, almost donne though!
