ben_m
I'm glad Italeri were not put off by MPM having announced a Sunderland several years ago (still in their future releases). Even though MPM and Italeri have colaborated in the past (e.g. Hudson) apparently this is project is independent. See this thread on Aeroscale. Moofles
well if the price is sensible say no more then £35 i will happily pick one up, really looks like a fantastic model from the cad drawings.

Test Graham
£35 is less than Airfix are quoting for their Valiant. I'd have thought the chances of an Italeri Sunderland being that lowly priced were not "reasonable".

Chris Jephcott
http://www.anticsonline.co.uk/1853_1_1012369.html That price... that cannot be right??? Please tell me that isn't right!
LDSModeller
The CAD drawings look good, I probably would buy one if I was inclined to build a Mk I/II Would be nice to see abit more of the interior CAD drawings especially the bomb bay area Probably with a fair bit of work one could convert to MK III/V (don't know how Aeroclub Engine parts would fit??) Only issue I see from the CAD drawings are the forward Bulkhead missing (covers in Toilet and opening leading to lower deck) Sunderland Forward bulkhead Only has only two portholes aft of wing trailing edge, when for a Mk I/II there should be Three portholes. Still would be easy enough to drill in third port. One thing that intrigues me is the enclosed book with walk around etc, would love to have a look at that. Still 100 Pounds ($195.00 NZD) is a bit pricey, may have save my pennies..... Regards Alan

Moofles
that just cannot be right....£100.. thats just silly. shame really as i was really looking forward to having one of these.
Andrew Jones
Probably about equivalent in size to a 1/32 Spitfire so a £100 is not unreasonable, so many people thought the Tamiya Spitfire was good value for money, so why not this.

Probably because you can buy a Lanc/B17 from Revell for well under £20 John
Moofles
i didnt quite realise how big the beast one, was thinking along the lines of revels B-17 or a lanc, but still £100 is a bit steep.
rod mcq
Sorry, but that is just crazy for even a quite large 1/72 kit. The £100 price tag is hopefully a mistake by Antics. The UK importers, Hobby Company, supply retailers with trade price lists at regular intervals. When HobbyCo have a new item for which they don't have accurate prices then Hobby Co put a default £100 price in the trade and retail price boxes on the list. I hope that this is what has happened and someone at Antics has simply copied this figure without realising what is going on.
Moofles
ok im having trouble trying to visualize how big the sunderland is, can anyone do a comparison picture of it say next to a lanc, or b-17 as those i own and know how large they are in 1/72.
Paul A H
It does say on the Antics webpage "Price to be advised".
Vulcanicity
For Moofles's benefit: Please excuse the tatty and over-weathered nature of this Sunderland model: I was only about 14 when I built it!
Moofles
ok..big bugger then, still worthy of a £100 price tag, not to sure until i have fondled the plastic.

OMG, you are any seller's dream! However such price is actually VERY unreasonable and might be even too high if the kit was a limited run resin one. But if you are used to paying such amounts for 1/72nd scale kits, then I would be more than glad to sell you some of my surplus kits
