tommyinuk0
Hi, Below are some pics of 2 PIPER Cub models I have recently completed. They are the Revell 1:32 kits and have a very clever way of being constructed so that all that vast clear plastic is not trashed by paint and glue. I found the kits to be quite easy to build and the decal sheets provide plenty of good quality markings and details. The D-Day markings were applied as I thought they would just look great. I know that a similar type of Piper was used in WW2 and did carry the D-Day markings, however they were slightly different to my Piper. For example the rear windows sloped up at 45 degrees. However as stated although not 100% acurate I just wanted to build this kit with those markings. I have not added codes and tail numbers yet as I am trying to find some suitable decals. If any one knows of any sets, I would appreciate any info. The yellow Piper is as per the kit instructions for a Luftwaffe version, and I think it looks quite cool. I especially like the engine for some reason! Many thanks for viewing my models, please feel free to comment if you wish.
