richellis
Korean Air Airbus A380 decal 1:144 decals from Two Six. Korean Air was founded in 1969, with its headquarters in Seoul. Korean Air currently has a fleet of 133 aircraft ranging from the 737 up to the double deck A380. There is currently only 1 A380 in service (www.koreanair.com 17/6/2011), but they have firm orders for 10 A380s. They will be configured to seat 407 passengers in a 3 class layout. The Airbus A380 is the biggest airliner in the world; it has a full length double deck and can carry up to 853 passengers in a single economy layout. The A380 is built by Airbus at their Toulouse factory using parts made in France, Germany, Spain and the UK. The sections are huge and are moved by Road, Sea and Air using the Airbus Belugas, specially built ships and barges, and by road by trucks in a massive convoy. The A380 is available in 1:144 from Revell. The screen printed decal comes over 3 sheets, and the colours are very good, bright and sharp. The large silver cheat lines are split into 3 parts that make them manageable over what is a big kit! The sheet will allow you to make one of the 10 A380 aircraft Korean have/ are due to have in the fleet. There is a very nice sheet with all the doors windows and airframe stencils on. So this sheet can be used with any boxing of the kit as the early Airbus versions have more basic decals. The instructions are colour drawings, with all decals numbered so easy to use and follow, paint codes are referenced to the Xtracolour range. Conclusion Another very nice sheet from Two Six, with the comprehensive door/window sheet it will make a nice big model, and with the blue fuselage it will stand out against other liveries! A recommended set! Review sample courtesy of
tomprobert
A great review Rich. Do you know if he has plans to release it in 1/125 scale for the Heller A380?
