Antoine
Hello, I'm looking for any informations, pics, etc... about the Kawanishi E7K1/2 "Alf", AKA Navy Type 94 Reconnaissance Seaplane (九四式水上偵察機 in Kanji. At least I think those are Kanji characters). I've already googled and found some stuff, but not that much, and I'm certainly missing something. And also, if you know about some books or magazines. Many thanks Edited June 17, 2011 by Antoine
Christopher
A good starting point is the Bunnin Do 'Airplanes of the World' Series No. 47 Imperial Japanese Navy Seaplanes which covers all the types used. This is one of the more well known ones and has quite a few pages devoted to it with colour profiles, internal and three view drawings. It is available as a download (just google the above) or to buy from Amazon. The text is in Japanese though.

Christopher
I was able to take a look at my copy of the afore-mentioned No 47. It has profiles of the in-line (EK71) and radial(EK72) versions. An extensive photo section pp30 - 37. Internal diagrams including an instrument panel drawing. Three view drawing of the EK72 and side elevation of the EK71. A history and development section of the aircraft as well (in Japanese). Hasegawa also did a 1/72 model of the EK71 with an IJN catapult.
