GrimModeller
All, With regards to the 100% LERX ive looked at a few great pics on Airliner.net and from what i can tell is the the ones Piero have produced look pretty much spot on. One thing i would add is that it does seem not all GR-9/GR-9A's have 100% LERX fitted so this part may be optional. That said the rest of Pieros set are a definate must! Piero
There were some GR5 and GR7's fitted with 100% LERX. Hi, no one GR.5 was ever fitted with 100% LERX. The 100% LERX were first fitted on the late batch of GR.7s during early '90s, and most of these GR.7s were with the IV(AC) squadron, the first of the three RAF's Harriers squadron to received the mark 7. The IV(AC) was the last frontline RAF Harrier squadron to decommissioned the first generation GR.3s. Then between the end of '90s and early 2000s there was a plan to retrofit all the RAF GR.7s with 100% LERX, but due the budget limitations only a certain number of airframes received the big LERX. The 100% LERX in the RAF Harriers are not strictly related to the mark 7A/9/9A... those marks are only referred to the engine, avionic and capabilites upgrades. I hope this can help with the story about the LERX inside the RAF Harrier's fleet. CIAO! Piero

otis252
Hey, question for you. Would the 4 frogeye scoops be available by themselves to be used on the USMC Harrier II Plus? Trumpeter completly missed those as well. I'd love a set. Chuck

aw-boss man
Got the Harrier GR7 release last week and have been looking at what is out there for after market updates. What sets/items do you think are worth adding to spruce the kit up? The Aires Wheel bay and Cockpit sets look good, but the Harrier GR7 Cockpit has yet to be released. Does anyone produce a set of 1/32nd BOL rails? Shaun. The 1/32 Scale RAF Harrier retirement schemes decal sheet is now available but it is limited to 150 sheets and selling very fast. Hannants will have there delivery early next week and for those modellers in Europe, Aviation Megastore in Holland have some as do AERO SPEZIAL in Germany. Sheet No is AF-32218 and includes a 24 page colour booklet with lots of photos, cockpit details and modelling notes. AIRframe Resin sets will also be available shortly including Sniper Pods, Brimstone Missile pack and Paveway III and IV GPS bombs. Shaun Hi Shaun, I'd no problem with the nozzles in fully aft horizontal position on my AV-8B... maybe try to sand a little bit the inside of the nozzle's fairing covers. CIAO! Shaun
On dry fit they ride out of the mounting ring when rotated to the rear, Maybe a little trimming maybe needed. Shaun.
