Arkady72
Today I spent half a day at Świdwin Air Base in the fumes of jet fuel. At the invitation of my friend Darek I had the opportunity to closely look at the real exercises... I love our Su-22 and this day was really unforgetable. upnorth
Wow! I seriously envy you your access to active examples of this aircraft. I arrived in the Czech Republic some years too late to see their Su-22s in any place other than museums. Edited June 2, 2011 by upnorth

Paul
Thanks for sharing those great pictures There is something beautiful about the SU-22, its like a swing wing Mig-21!
rmcclure
Ancient history now, of course, but it's still staggering to those of us old enough to have served during the Cold War that pictures like this are so available on a forum like this. Incredible.

upnorth
There is something beautiful about the SU-22 It's the same brand of beauty the Buccaneer has. Both aircraft have that brutal beauty that makes them look like you could fly them full tilt into a brick wall and they'd come out the other side unscathed. mrcooljules
nice fotos of my fave plane, seen lots of real DDR ones, and been to a place in W Poland once. i only drive to poland for the vodka, the fuel, the tobacco (and the girls)...i really need to see more aircraft though :-)
Arkady72
Great pics, many thanks for sharing, you lucky man! Oh, yes, I felt extremely happy that day! It's the same brand of beauty the Buccaneer has. Both aircraft have that brutal beauty that makes them look like you could fly them full tilt into a brick wall and they'd come out the other side unscathed. Nicely said. This pictorial is a tribute to all peoples working at the base. In each place, I met very friendly peoples. They are very professional. I'm glad you liked the pictures.
