Klaus Herold 'stressed skin' method

Over on Hyperscale there is a post by a chap (Klaus Herold) who uses the following method to create a 'stressed metal skin' on an model.

I tried it today on a scrap wing (although I do not have any plastic polish but the rest of the task I followed his guide) and it looks fantastic.

Anyone else tried this, with a but more practice its going to transform some of my raised panel lined aircraft!

This would look great on a Mongram B-52...lots of "stressed" skin on those puppies...!!

that would be a great look!

A bit more practice with this method today, trying it out on the back (inside) of the wings to see if it looks any good.
