Muzz
I tried spraying Citadel paints today (Chainmail silver) can't remember if I've sprayed them before or not by tried to thin with Mr Color thinners which appeared to make it thicker. Then tried Tamiya thinners which worked better, when I went to clean the airbrush out I used some water which got rid of the paint no probes, so is water the best thinner for Citadel? Jon Kunac-Tabinor
hi- if you thin with some tamiya thinner first you can them add isoprop alchohol too. if you add the alcohol first its too hot and the paint goes gloopy. weird but true. Cheers jonners
Paul A H
I usuall thin them with Tamiya thinner. They definitely don't mix with cellulose thinner, unfortunately.
Pielstick
Vallejo Airbrush Cleaner is pretty good for thinning Citadel paints (and also Vallejo, Xtracrylix and Lifecolor).
Chewie
Tap water or demineralised water. Personally, I use demineralised water to thin, and tap water to clean. Same goes for LifeColor. FYI, LifeColor and Citadel can be mixed safely too.
