This is the F.1 Hunter at Newark Ar Museum, she has just been re-painted and is in superb condition...

Yes, '651 is very lovely indeed. The aircraft was repainted early this year after being outside for years and looking very faded. However, I do think it's a shame they use the wrong colour on the undersides - should be High Speed Silver of course. LAG just doesn't look right on these early Hunters.

I have a particular soft spot for this one as WT651 was one of 233 OCUs aircraft at RAF Pembrey. That's where my father did his National Service so he probably worked on her at some point.

Ooohh! Can someone measure that tailpipe?

The tail pipe is 21 1/2" across.
