kilmurray
Hello dear people, Well hopefully I got this topic in the right place (sorry Mike if not!). The saga begins.... Finally started work on my scale 1:144 Airport, named St Piran Airport as this fictional airport is set in the fictional county of Cornwall, England. Even though the build has just begun, I thought getting a topic up on it would spur me on to actually working on it, rather than getting sidetracked and going the pub. Thus far the only part of the structure 'completed' is the roof. This gives me the rough shape & size of the main building from which I can work from. It still needs a coat of paper mache to smooth it out and a spray of undercoat ready for detailing, but all in all, it's pretty sturdy (built from A4 card and lots of contact adhesive). The pic below gives you an idea of the size (the terminal will be built later). DSC_0001 by piranairport, on Flickr I've picked up 20 N-scale cars (which I need about 60 really) and have 100 painted n-scale people ready to hang around the airport. I've bought in some LED lighting for it (the roof will be removable so I can fit lighting inside). Of course I will update this when I can, so so much to do!!! Danke, Paul. pigsty
Finally started work on my scale 1:144 Airport, named St Piran Airport as this fictional airport is set in the fictional county of Cornwall, England. I'd agree the price of the average cream tea is a work of fiction, but I'm sure I remember the place being fairly real when I lived there ... Where will you be siting St Piran? And if you need an ICAO code, EGKW is available - England-Kernow.

Looking forward to seeing this coming together, lets see some updates!

Looking forward to seeing this coming together, lets see some updates! Probably . . . Did you get along to the new model club in Porthleven on Wednesday last? I was going to go but my partial knee replacement has fallen apart ("Femoral component completely detached.") so it'll be a couple of months yet before I can get out and about again. Best of luck with the knee First Wed night each month, contact via the Creations shop in the village High Street. Haven't been in there for a couple of weeks now, think they were considering Italeri kits in addition to Airfix and Revell.
