This is actually a neat kit, and looks pretty good - I got two of these, one for the red n white c/s and one to do in the dynamic all black c/s - havent

done that one yet so I'll start with this one :)

I think I found them at the Cosford show. I'd seen a real one at an air display in the all black c/s and thought "wooo....I'm in love..."

The next model show, I saw these so thought fate is delivering them unto me...and they were cheap :)

Oh yes, shall watch this with interest, I have one of these in the stash along with an Airfix one, will wait to see what it comes out like, looks to be quite nice on inspection. Very jealous of the price you paid, mine was 5 times that.

All the best

Premiere also released a Sea Venom FAW21 which comes with white metal and a vacform canopy.

I'm not sure but I think that the basic kit might be FROG!

Did they also do a 1/48 BAe Hawk?

As for the Tucano, is it the Airfix kit re-boxed?

Looking at the sprue shots, no. I'm pretty sure the Airfix kit has the nose moulded into each fuselage half, rather than separate as on the Premier kit, although my Airfix one is in the loft at the mo, so I can't easily check!

I can confirm that Obi-Jiff is indeed correct.

  • 3 weeks later...

ok...so....a bit delayed but here I go...

This isnt a bad little kit but there is a bit of excess to be removed;

Since I havent ever built one of these before, the OOB is probably a good way to start, but I can't help feeling the cockpit is going to be very bare....

(the itch to add detail is very stroing right now but if I do that, it won't be an OOB....:()

btw - does anybody know what colour the seats should be

???

.

oh, ok then :)

havent got any dosh for detail sets anyway, but I'll think about adding a bit of extra scratch work to the cockpit when I see howmuch can be seen.
