font for northwest airlines

I need to make my own decals for the "NORTHWEST" title on their DC-10,

its upper case but I cannot find the correct font,

any ideas?

ps its a northwest airlines dc-10

It is a unique lettering style that you won't find as a font. You either need a decal already printed, or a scan of something with the lettering on it.

Here's a blown up detail of a pic I took when the livery changed:

Doesn't really look like any font I know - I think the closest match would be Verdana but you will need to use some sort of software to stretch it a bit.

(EDIT: Of course they probably didn't use this livery on the DC-10s did they??! )

I should have clarified - which (of the many) Northwest schemes are you talking about?? The current one is Verdana, but the older ones aren't any commercial font.
