phat trev
Just looking into starting a Revell A-1E/AD-5 Skyraider project and I have a few questions. Whats the general feeling about the Revell/Monogram AD-5 kit? Anygood, what needs altering and improving? WHY is the glazing a 'blue' tint in the back of the cockpit area? and did all multi crew Skyraiders have this tint? Does anyone know of any PE sets for this kit? Maybe I can use parts from other/ similar aircraft to boost the look of the cockpit.

I stared at it for a loooooong time before I found out what was wrong. See my website for a report on the corrections I made. You can also see the Cobra Company resin cockpit set that I installed. Threadbear
I used to be a SPAD freak and I believe the reason that the rear canopy was blue tinted was due to all the radio gear that was stored in there along with the radio operators. When the planes were converted for the Sandy mission in Vietnam, the rear cockpit was basically empty with just a pilot and sometimes an observer in the righthand seat. Not sure if www.skyraider.org is still working but that used to be a great site for all things SPAD!!! The Squadron Signal walk around is a great help too.
