'V'
I've not been visiting the Britmodeller site much ...... bad I know !! Still as I'm not modelling aircraft at the moment (or the last 2 years) I thought I'd put on this winters build which is an imaginary quayside in a small harbour, probably one that used to bring in fish until the 1960's One under arch workshops is now being used by Clark Motorsport - chose the name because of the late Jim Clark and Roger Clark. Thought these might inspire somebody to make small dioramas - this is just 15" long by 9.5" deep in 1/76 scale British '00'. 'V'
Paul RH
Like it, it´s got a real 60´s look to it. Just my sort of scale.

Excellent work! I've been thinking along similar lines. It might be fun to incorporate my recent water tower into a small diorama.
'V'
Thanks Enzo & Paul, Just the sort of place to use small kits, or even scratch built items. This one took around a month, just a few odds to tidy up before it's fully finished. My aim's to make one each winter, small enough to have indoors on the kitchen table, working away with a few favourite CD's playing !! Good way to pass days you don't want to venture out doors !!! To me this is 3D art .... although lights work & the tracks wired it's meant to be a picture ......... 'V'

'V'
Hi Robvulcan, Lucky I looked in today, I don't get here too often ! This was a one off for a spring competition, took me about 6 weeks. As I was running the comp I had to skew the judging so I couldn't win, not that I was judging it. I was told I would have won only the penalty I set for spending money, and it cost around £7, meant I was second. I like making small dioramas as you can experiment at almost no cost and nothing lost if it's only fit for the bin. Currently building a twin oval track 'Thomas' layout to be used at the clubs exhibition on August 20th. Nice and simple as we intend to allow children to drive the trains, but the scenics and build need to be at a suitable standard. I may post a few pictures here in a new thread.
