Here is my 1/72 Fujimi MiG-21 RF "Peeping MiG" in Polish markings. It was built straight from the box and painted in Halfords Nissan Silver followed by a couple of Raw Umber washes. I dropped it in the final phase, breaking off various pieces, so I have decided not to spend any more time on it!

My build thread is here

Bilek 1/48 scale Antonov 2 "Colt"

WIP here

The camo scheme is not OOB - adapted from plans for another kit version of this type. The upper surface national insignia are brush painted, as is the rest of the scheme.

My next build for this GB is this SU-100 tank destroyer, finished as a vehicle of the 9th PanzerDivision of the Nationale VolksArmee

of the Deutsche Demokratische Republik, in 1958. It's one of the kit's 5 decal options.

Build thread is here.

Folks

Made it just in time for the end of the group build!

Here is the Polikarpov I-16, Type 24, as captured by the Finns from the Soviets during the Winter War of 1940. The Finns painted it up in their own colours, and re-designated it VH-21 following an overhaul in 1941. They then shipped it off to the Luftwaffe test Centre at Rechlin in Germany in April 1941, for testing against German fighter aircraft who were preparing for Operation Barbarossa, the invasion of the Soviet Union. In fact, the Luftwaffe encountered many I-16's in the initial stages of Barbarossa, as it was the mainstay of the Soviet Air Force at that stage. It was only later that more modern aircraft were put up against the Germans, with the result that we all know....

Build article is here: http://www.britmodeller.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=65626

Airfix Yak-9D, Warszawa Regiment, Spring 1945. Built straight from the box in a few hours over a wet weekend. Paints are Vallejo acrylics, without which I would have had to take my time and do things properly.
