'Air Craft Models' - 1/144 vacform producer

I've just bought a kit of an A-3B Skywarrior in 1/144 Vacform. (thanks Freightdog)

The kit looks quite old and has a part number of Air Craft Models 403.

I'm not aware of this producer and there doesn't seem to be anything on the web.

Can anyone tell me about this line:

When they were in production?

how many kits were produced?

what they were?

their numbers/index?

Cheers

Mike

I have the details somewhere. They were mostly prewar civil airliners and very nice little kits. Off the top of my head, AW Argosy (1927) Atlanta, DH Albatross ( this was 1/72) and Martin Mars, Vicker Vimy Commercial and I think a Tornado B45.

The leaflet below should answer most of your questions. 0f the future releases noted the DH Albatross was definitely released (I Have one) but I'm unsure about the rest

I too have the DH 91 and I also have the Sikorsky S42. Both look nice kits with white metal parts included.

If any one has a Sikorsky S40 Pan Am Clipper I would be interested

Cheers!

Hi Dave F and BAC,

thanks for this info. I am trying to obtain images/photos of these kits/packaging and would be grateful if you could take some photos for me?

cheers

Wow! BAC,

that was a quick response. Thank you very much indeed.

This all helps to build up a picture of what the kits looked like, plus their numbering sequence.

If anyone else wants to see the images I've collected so far, from all the very helpful BM'ers, then please pm me with you email address and I'll send them to you.

Best Wishes

Mike
