More Hunter talk. . . F.56

Yup, YET another RoG Hunter F.6! This time with a quickboost tail to make an FGA.9. This one will be done as an Indian F.56 in Medium Sea Grey and Dark Green with silver undersides. I do like this model even if I believe it's a bit of a rush job from Revell. . . I always set aside at least an hour per model these days to re-scribe the wings, as the detail is horribly soft on them, and you lose a fair bit dealing with the leading edges anyway. Anyway, having said I always set aside an hour, even given that this is less than three hours work to here!

Looks great thus far, Drewe (and I'm sure the finished "product" will be to your usual high standards). Amazing how you can turn them out!

I was going to order a couple of the Quickboost sets until I learned (here) that the Revell F.9 is just around the corner. About time!

Looking forward to this one as always Drewe,

The QB tailpipe looks to be a good fit, although are the forward fairings a bit problematic? I'm sure the outcome will be another fine Hunter. Mmmmm......Hunterlicious......

Andrew (not distracted, I'm not distrac.... Hunters you say?)

Bought two more F.6 boxings at Telford today. . both have the FGA.9 tail on the sprues! Most odd. But the FGA.9 will have 230's, SNEB pods and pylon ejection fairings too (as well as, presumably, all the F.58 parts) so it's not like this is that model.

Well here she is all painted. After correcting all the areas where the masking ripped the paint up. . . which was obviously none, this being Mr Color and not no-grip acrylics, varnish was applied. Next stop decals. . .

Great stuff Drewe,

Good paints or not, your results are always impressive. I like the way this Hunter is coming together and am keen to see it with decals on (which is probably happening as I type).

Andrew.
