Mentalguru
Well I took a load of photo's this morning, but I have to dash so just a few for now. Yellowhammer decals, aftermarket belts and Cannon barrels, home spun engine wiring and brake lines. Own mix colours both inside and out, and my own NMF concoction. trpsarge
Very nice indeed. These paint schemes are always very daunting, but you've got it right.
Mentalguru
Thanks for all the comments people- much appreciated Here's an in progress shot that shows up the fading and weathering to a good degree, it's quite subtle, followed by a similar outdoors shot, where the effect has changed a little. Well I've got a Pete and Myrt just waiting for that Pacific Group Build, and then there's the almost finished Zero on wooden deck. But that one is a few KUTA's up the line yet. Mentalguru
Very realistic-looking build. Took a long time maturing, didn't it? Yes it did! A common theme among my models....... Nick Millman
That is one seriously impressive Shiden. The colours are absolutely convincing but especially the finish. My eye is drawn particularly to the prop blades and the highly commendable fact that you have resisted the temptation to grind your own pigments from brick dust and the zest of an orange. Truly, truly gorgeous. The only sad note for me is that price sticker on the box!
timraven1992
Lovely finish, how did you do the paint chipping? Cheers
keefr22
The only sad note for me is that price sticker on the box! Hannants still apparently have 20+ of that boxing listed at £19.99 - so that's not bad given the current scheme of things......!! K
