SWMBO has just realised i have 8 Hawks ( she doesnt know about the 2 already in the loft) and has got a bit (meaning alot) err angry, not a happy bunny that i have wasted more cash on plastic planes, and stormed off to bed

points of note

1. wasted - no an investment

2. planes - no they are Hawks

3. she does not know about the 2 missing hawks ro the decal sheets ive bought for them!

Hello Mark, nice work so far, I will be watching this as starting to hanker after one myself now. Mind you I still have to finish my Aussie Hawk 100 series which I have been building for over 3 yrs (stalled for a while now).

All the best

Chris

I'm guessing the "I've had 'em for yonks" statement falls short here, you could always tell her to go to specsavers, she's seeing things! If all else fails, your 1/48 teen fighters can always come to mine for a TDY :evil_laugh:

Bless her, there you go, she's seeing double!

Worth a try with the teenies, just kidding, I'm not exactly running out of these, would like a few more tamiya Vipers though, could do with a few Hornet E's, definitely need some more Varks... Your lucky Mark, you're only addicted to one type!

Nice work so far Mark. I'm looking forward to the rest. The flaps definitely seem worth doing. Did it take much to get the hinge fairings the way you wanted them?

Couple of questions though. Does the inner part of the main wheel wells seem a bit wierd to you? Shouldn't the 'roof' be flat? I though it was the upper skin of the one piece main plane. Also, are you planning to add any of the interior ribbing on the cockpit sides?

My first 1/32 Hawk is still in the box cos I'm actually getting close to finishing a 1/72 one! Strewth, if Obi-Jiff reads that, he'll need oxygen! I managed to get away with buying the Revell one cos my missus is still in the USA from Christmas.

Only teasing mate. Yeah, its on their 2011 release list. I'm waiting for the glut of 'em on eBay once that news spreads as folks try to get a high price while they can. I don't want to buy one. I just enjoy seeing traders reacting to release schedules!

BTW Mark, I finally got into the files on the DVD you kindly sent me! My son's new laptop opened the DVD quite happily and I'm wading around in Hawk-mania right now. Thanks so much for that.

Phil.

Not a problem at all Mark. I'm sure you've been as busy as usual and I was away from BM for a while there too.

Thats a great big treasure chest of Hawk stuff for an addict like me. Thanks again.

You sure look like you had a fantastic day at Valley. Is that your son in the pics? I hope he had a great time. I would have given my right arm for a visit like at when I was his age. I was a bit obsessed with aircraft at the time. I queued up at Spurs for Cup Final replay tickets twice in '81 & '82 and gave 'em to my dad on the promise he'd take me to the Biggin Hill Air Show. Hmm, never did to Biggin... ^_^ Oi! Dad!
