Only that it's supposed to be an easy kit. Anything else is just a guess.

Now even if it wil be an easy kit, if it's half decent I'll buy more than one, I have decals for a few nice schemes !!!

Likewise!

Oh well, we'll wait and see then!

also mentioned 2x F-14 in 1.72... easy kit do we think ?

Yes.

That in itself is not a bad thing if they are properly done. With so many schemes around, having a cheap and easy to build tomcat is the best way to build plenty of tomcats without struggling with kits that are beautiful but also complicated, like the hasegawa and fujimi ones.

Why not get the ESCI kit which has been reissued by Italeri?

Wez

Yes indeed, it's a great little kit, fine recessed panels and overall good shape, i've buy some on Ebay (original ESCI) for just few euros.

Italeri reissued the CF-5B biplace (ex ESCI) not the monoplace F-5A

Italeri CF-5B

Not properly, Italeri reiussed also the ESCI monoplace F5A , introduced on about 2002 as" News", but almost still from 2006/7 it is again out the catalogue. Anyway it is possible to find it on some on line shops , for instance:

It is allegedly an ex-trumpeter F-5E mould which itself was allegedly a copy of the Italeri F-5E before Italeri modded the kit to F-5N.

Hopefully I've covered all the legal niceties there ... ;)

I'm keen to get my mitts on one to see if the 'above' is true

Yes, it is the MiniHobby-Trumpeter F5E, an Italeri copy with a worse canopy and an updated surface detail ( engraved panel lines ), here a discussion about it:
