sidewinder1
Hi there fellow modellers! This is my first post on the site and I would love to post some pics of my models but, without sounding a bit thick, how do you do it? I would appreciate some feedback. Cheers! Daniel
I build the odd 1/72 Spitfire between most builds anyway so I could easily commit to this one. Dan

Giorgio N
But A2Zee have just released an excellent decal sheet for SAAF Spitfires, so that's what I'll be doing. Missed that, will check their website immediately ! I always fancied a grey on grey South African XVI !!
AnonymousDFB1
Scanning through this month Flypast I've just seen this year celebrates the 75th anniversary of the Spitfire's first flight on 5th March 1936. Surely this is a momentous enough occasion to squeeze in a Group Build?Or perhaps as suggested we could have a separate forum opened for Spitfire builds from 5th March to celebrate this anniversary? We have to find a way to fit this one in

AnonymousDFB1
Okay I've looked at the Calender and we could fit it in starting 5th March and ending 5th June. It's breaking my rules but I cannot let this anniversary of the worlds most famous fighter pass with no tribute.

Jazzy Jase
I'm happy to host or co-host with someone who knows more about the subject. I shall be building an Italeri (Ocidental) Spitfire XVIe.
Speckled Jim
Wouldn't mind Co-hosting, unless like above there is someone with better knowledge or more experience wishes to do it?
Enzo the Magnificent
According to my planned timetable, on 5 March I should be approaching the end of my Spitfire XII build, halfway through building a Hornchurch Mk 1 and starting a Mk II from the 3D Models decal sheet. So please put me down for the Mk II as part of this GB and I would also like to build a SAAF Mk XVIe. Will there be an "Inspiration Gallery" like there was in the Battle of Britain groupbuild? Enzo the Magnificent
As for what we call it; Spitmodeller GB? Spitfire 75th Anniversary GB? Other suggestions? I like Mish's suggestion for a "Single Type Group Build". So Spitfire 75th Anniversary STGB would seem to be appropriate but of course we all all call it the Spitmodeller GB. davidelvy
In view of the fact that I build at least one Spitfire a year I should express an interest in this GB.
