Hi there fellow modellers! This is my first post on the site and I would love to post some pics of my models but, without sounding a bit thick, how do you do it? I would appreciate some feedback. Cheers!

Hi Sidewinder, welcome to the forums. :)

You can read how to post pictures onto the forum by clicking here.

This is a thread for discussing a group build of Spitfires. You are most welcome to join in.

Why not introduce yourself in the New Members forum here?

Scanning through this month Flypast I've just seen this year celebrates the 75th anniversary of the Spitfire's first flight on 5th March 1936. Surely this is a momentous enough occasion to squeeze in a Group Build?

Or perhaps as suggested we could have a separate forum opened for Spitfire builds from 5th March to celebrate this anniversary?

We have to find a way to fit this one in

Okay I've looked at the Calender and we could fit it in starting 5th March and ending 5th June. It's breaking my rules but I cannot let this anniversary of the worlds most famous fighter pass with no tribute.

Yay. Mish, I love you! :kissing2:

According to my planned timetable, on 5 March I should be approaching the end of my Spitfire XII build, halfway through building a Hornchurch Mk 1 and starting a Mk II from the 3D Models decal sheet. So please put me down for the Mk II as part of this GB and I would also like to build a SAAF Mk XVIe.

Will there be an "Inspiration Gallery" like there was in the Battle of Britain groupbuild?

I like Mish's suggestion for a "Single Type Group Build".

So Spitfire 75th Anniversary STGB would seem to be appropriate but of course we all all call it the Spitmodeller GB. :D

+1 with a 1/48 Italeri Mk IX in French colours - I could always cheat and cover off both this and the Vietnam Wars GB with that one, though I doubt the dates will overlap...
