A.C.Acikgoz
hi, I need to buy a new color laser printer to print my own decals, old one was a big minolta unit und it is very difficult to find supplies and spares. I've tried crafty and micromark decal papers with several new Samsung models but they melted the carrier film. so, I need suggestions about which brands and models are OK for this job. regards Edited January 12, 2011 by A.C.Acikgoz
xffw45343tg
I was under the impression (no pun intended) that decal paper is only suitable for inkjets or the much missed ALPS printers. I may be out of date on this, but by their nature laser printers use heat to fuse the toner/wax on to the page and the amount of heat required is likely to be more than the decal paper can take. I would have thought hi-resolution inkjet would be the way to go.
Mike
You can get laser specific decal paper. I can't be more specific than that, as I have only ever been interested in inkjet paper, but I've seen it advertised
A.C.Acikgoz
hi, as I said, I have an old konica minolta and printing my own decals for years.. of course I use laser printer capable decal papers... the problem is, new generation hi-speed color lasers are too hot for usual "micromark" and "crafty" laser decal papers so I'm trying to find a kind of compatibility list that "this printers were tested safely with this brand of paper" ... so, I wonder if someone here printing decals with color laser printers and which brand and model pirinter/paper combo using.. regards Edited January 12, 2011 by A.C.Acikgoz
arnobiz
I had no problem at all using Crafty paper with a HP CP3035 laser printer.
