PaulR
Hi all, now I know Sabre wings have been done to death, but I have become confused . . . In short, are the slatted wings in the 1/72 Heller sabre appropriate to make a slatted RAF Sabre F4? Illumination from those less confused than me greatly appreciated! Thanks, Paul

Thanks, Paul The Heller wing is a Sabre 6 wing only--a 6-3 wing with slats--unique to the Sabre Mk6 It also has way more sweep than the Fujimi/Academy/Hobbycraft Sabre-- see here at post #5 ; http://www.arcforums.com/forums/air/index....howtopic=184207 Cheers, Tony

You may be on to something, there. I checked my Heller kits and they have molded the ammo door forward of the wing. (raised panel lines of course) Maybe its time I considered my Heller sabres as Mk4 planes with the bloody slats molded closed. Model on gents, Tony You will have to remove the raised panel just forward of the vertical stab.Heller is the only sabre model that has the two vents on the side of the fuslage. PaulR
Cheers for all the input gents! My Heller Sabre will therefore emerge in the fullness of time as a 93sqn slatted Mk4 courtesy of Modeldecal . . . Paul
