dwh
When I used it some time ago it was part of a two part process using the micro set as well. Paul-H
Hi What I do is brush MicroSet (Blue Bottle) on the model, then place the Decal on the MicroSet, then apply more Set to the decal, once the decal has "set" I then brush MicroSol (Red Botle) over the Decal to bed it in. I mostly use Tamiya Decals and have never seen the wrinkle effect, but it realy does suck the decals into the surface, even on zimmerit paul
stevehnz
I've been interested to read these comments as I'm a budding sol/set user too. Are there any brands of decals that folk have had bad experiences with, ie, those that it would be better NOT to use this system on? Steve. gcn
I always find following the instructions on the bottle to be pretty useful

Are there any brands of decals that folk have had bad experiences with, ie, those that it would be better NOT to use this system on?Steve. Some old almark sheets gave me some problems. Or better, the two products worked too much on the decal and kind of transformed it into paint. The result was that they really looked great once applied, with no thickness apparent at all. However touching them before dry destroyed them. No chance of moving a decal around if it wasn't in the right spot from the beginning. Some other decals react inthe opposite way, that is are too tough for these products. Some academy and fujimi decals are like this. In this case I use the gunze product that is more aggressive than micro-sol. Other producers have products with different level of strength, like Daco

It works wonders! Jens
